A Wedding at Pinewood Studios
We first heard about Daft from a gig at the Old Ticket Hall in Windsor. We spoke to Graeme, the band manager, about playing at our Wedding, held at Pinewood Studios on Saturday 8th October. Right from the start Graeme was helpful and his pre-wedding dialogue leading up to our big day was tip top, he was always on the end of the phone to allay any of our concerns. He was very keen that we got involved with track selections and then we didn’t hear from him again until we stepped into our venue to see Dafts truly amazing and very professional set up. Graeme’s priority was always to give us a special evening at our reception.
There’s nothing left to say other than the fact that they truly ROCKED!!!! and we wish the reception could have gone on all night.
We’ll come and see you soon Graeme / Daft and I’ll buy you that pint!

A Rocking Wedding!
Hi Guys, I just want to thank you for making my friends wedding party the BEST and for giving them a most fantastic rocking night that they so deserved. I have never seen so many people rocking at a wedding, it was awesome and only eclipsed by hours of the Bride and Grooms air guitar! Just brilliant
Thanks again, Jane

Bill Wyman Support Gig Feedback
Graeme, I can’t thank you enough for saving the day at the Music Festival with Bill Wyman. I had never considered we might need to be inside (for rain) and outside (for sunshine), without your management skills the event would not have been so successful.
Daft, as always were absolutely brilliant and I look forward to booking you again soon!

The Absolute Pleasure of !daft!
We had the absolute pleasure of Daft! perform at my wife’s 40th party last weekend. From the beginning of our dealings with Graeme which started 3 months ago, he has been a wealth of great advice, professional throughout, flexible and amenable to our every need (and we had many), and after we’d seen them at Mr Bumbles in Camberley, we knew that no other band would do (and we’d seen many).
They just know how to get a party jumping, great musicians & performers who can just tune in to the crowd – they had the dance floor FULL by the second song of their 1st set, and after that we never sat down.
We had a couple of singers amongst our mates, and the boys had no issues with giving up the mics to give our friends a turn and performances that they’ll never forget.
A very special mention to Dougie, the sound engineer, who kindly stayed with us before the bands performance to coordinate our sound needs for music and speeches – above & beyond, cheers Dougie.
As you can by now probably tell, I am a huge fan, and cannot recommend Daft! highly enough for any gig where you want to rock out and party (and I’d be happy to be contacted to tell you more if you still have any reservations).
To Daft! – a huge thanks, you made our party brilliant, wish you all every success, and looking forward to seeing you at future gigs. You guys were/are AMAZING. Thanks for making our night so incredible, our friends haven’t stopped talking about you. Watch out, Nicky & I are likely to become your first middle aged groupies!!

Thanks from Tadley Rugby Club!
Many, many thanks to you and the guys for a memorable night last Friday. Everyone I have spoken to has said the band were great! (except for the fat lad playing the drums in the middle on 2 numbers!). It really capped off a great night for the club and demonstrated that we can raise our game when we need to. Your excellent performance certainly made a massive contribution.

Awesome at O’Neill’s, Oxford!
I saw daft at O’neils in Oxford this november. OH my god what a fantastically talented and proffesional band who made the place come alive it was rocking. Whatever your taste in music they do not disappoint. I have to say i’m not normally one to get up and dance to a live band i normally leave that for the nightclubs but i could not resist and i sang my lungs out to all the songs leaving me a bit hoarse the next day. Graeme is fantastic at involving the audience and the rest of the band are fantastic musicians who make the music come alive, they put their heart and soul into every song and most of all they seem to enjoy it just as much as the audience. I will definately become an avid follower and hope i get an occasion where i can hire them for a private function. cheers guys for the best night i have had in ages sees ya soon xxx

Strongly Recommended Wedding Party Band
daft performed at our wedding reception <16th October 2010, Sopwell House> in St Albans and were simply awesome. The set was superb and Greame’s interaction with the guests was excellent. The feedback we’ve had from many guests has been overwhelmingly positive, with many comments such as “where did you get that band, they were fantastic”. daft helped make our day very special and I would strongly recommend them to anyone who was thinking of having a top indie/rock band at their wedding. Finally, the Queen medley, what can I say; marvellous.

Smokey Joes Roadhouse Rocked!

Thank you for playing at our wedding
Hi Graeme
I’ve been meaning to write for ages to say a massive thank you to you and daft for playing at our wedding on the 31st July this year at Oakley Court.
Paul and I had the most incredible wedding day and the band and music in the evening definitely topped the day in the best way possible. We originally came to see you at the old ticket hall in Windsor and as soon as you played our first dance song we definitely knew you were the band we wanted at the wedding. From the first dance to the last you were incredible. Having our first dance song played live as amazing and we have had so many people say how fantastic the band was and the dance floor was packed all night. My cousin even had to shake the lead guitarists hand after Sweet Child of Mine as he was blown away by how good he was. My little nephew who is 3 was also completely mesmerised by drummer and couldn’t believe that someone gets paid to hit things for a living!!
Once again, thank you so much and we’ll definitely be coming to your next gig in Windsor!

Very Professional Attitude and Stage Setup
As a gigging musician myself, it’s extremely rare that I get to go and see a band (other than my own) in action. So having a rare ‘free’ evening, I made the journey down to O’Neill’s in High Wycombe with the missus and a couple of friends to see Daft.
I’m glad I did!
Daft are a 5 piece band with a very professional attitude and stage setup. In fact, I felt a little bit ashamed looking at how tidy and uncluttered their stage was compared to the one I usually perform on!
The musicianship on display last night was superb. As a fellow muso, I have a little twisted side of myself which likes to watch out for mistakes/bummed notes etc when watching bands, but I was sorely disappointed in that regard last night!
The 2 guitarists Gary and Adam were fantastic, very talented, really in sync with each other and both have a great guitar sound that is neither too harsh or overbearing.
The bass player Nick, is one of the best I have had the pleasure of witnessing in a pub. He has a great tone, and was great to watch – his fingers were flying all over the place, never missing a note. He was also perfectly locked in with the drummer and solidly providing one half of a really great rhythm section.
As for the drums – brilliant – powerful, tight and without the common problem that many bands suffer from of speeding up and up and up as the adrenaline of the gig takes hold!
Graeme – Daft’s frontman – is something else. His voice completely suits the style of music that Daft perform, he has a very clear and strong vocal and he really complements the other guys in the band perfectly. He exudes stage presence and is constantly on the move, keeping the crowd engaged and singing along. He managed to keep this up without letting up for a moment the entire evening. A lot of frontmen – myself included – could learn a hell of a lot from this chap!
Daft travel with their own soundman, who was also doing a grand job keeping feedback to a minimum – no mean feat considering how close the speakers had to be to the rest of the band – whilst monitoring their levels and keeping everything sounding great out front.
Whilst I confess some of Daft’s setlist wasn’t really my cup of tea (there were a few songs I didn’t know – I think I’m getting on a bit!), I can honestly say that they played their socks off and every song – regardless of whether I liked the record or not, was played exactly as it should have been, and at least as good – if not better than the originals. The rest of the audience however, seemed to know the words to every single song and were having a blast from start to finish – they didn’t stop singing and dancing until the band began packing away.
There were many great moments in the set – including great versions of “Welcome to the Jungle” by Guns N’ Roses and “Buck Rogers” by Feeder (really nice vocal harmonies on that one by the way). But the real highlight of the set for me was Daft’s cover of Meat Loaf’s seminal classic “Bat out of Hell”. It absolutely rocked the roof off the place! For the full 10 minutes that the song lasted, the whole audience was jumping, dancing, singing along – it really was superb!
I’m really glad that I finally had the opportunity to go and see Daft after hearing so much about them; I can honestly say that these guys are awesome!
I had the opportunity to meet the band during their break and they all seem like a really great bunch of lads who really have a passion for what they are doing. I wish them every success!
Check them out as soon as you get the chance, I promise you’ll have a great night!
Thanks guys!

Musicianship, showmanship, and an unbelievable commitment to your audience
Hi G, Gary , Matt, Nick, Adam
I have been amazingly slow at getting this message of huge praise and thanks out to you very fine folks and pals. (The 10th seems like an age ago – mainly because we have been on the road every day since clearing the site at about midnight by the Monday after!! – Never ever do what I do if you want an easy life!)
ANYWAY- not the f’ing point so let’s get to it……..
What you did and achieved at the BIG Zero was quite outstanding in any terms, and I think that everyone who was there are now huge fans of !daft!
(I hear that you have had a some sign-ups on the web but that is not why I am writing)
As you are aware, we have been doing this bash for a while now. This year was, for me, the last time. And did you make it f****** happen with the biggest leaving blast ever. I simply cannot explain how I feel about what you did and how it made our guests feel and behave. We have always tried to do something a bit different – away from the norm – and where folk can really let their hair down without feeling self-conscious and worrying about what the neighbours might think – -if you know what I mean.
A lady guest (no names without her permission) said to me
“I just danced and boogied, I was soaked in sweat and very pissed……. I have a daughter who has left university, another at uni.. and a son who has just done his A levels. I have not done anything like your party for over 20 years and it was was the best time I can remember…ever!!!”
I have been given praise from so many people of every age and gender on basically similar lines -
And that was – in a very major part – down to you guys. Your musicianship, showmanship, and an unbelievable commitment to your audience. You took people to places that they had forgotten or never been. That is quality and a real result. I really want you to feel what I feel – bloody proud of what was achieved that night.
Simply, I cannot thank you all enough – nor can my co-conspiritors, colleagues and basically the near 1000 people you gave it out for
I owe you so big time
Let’s do it again????
Much love and look forward to catching up with you all
R.A.
Huge thanks again

Cant believe you sang for so long..you made the party rock. Thanks again and i for sure will be booking you for my party!!

A Dream!
To be honest! IT is all like a HUGE dream for us! We are looking forward to as many videos and picutres of it to re live it! Thank you so much for doing it for us! It was great to have Daft there! You were amazing! (By the Way, thank you for the T-Shirt! I am wearing it at the moment! lol) I love you all and it was an honor to have you at our wedding.
Gemma and Darren Summerscales-Heard, Wedding, May 2010
Thank you!
We got married on 24th April 2010 and while the rest of the day was perfect, Daft! contributed hugely to it being the best day of our lives with a performance of true passion, energy and committment that was perfectly suited to the day and our friends. Since the wedding we have had many people asking how we found Daft! how great they were and have even recommended you for a few other friends weddings
Thanks again for helping to make it a perfect day

Absolutely amazing cover band!
I have seen them a couple of times now and I have loved every minute. I was a guest singer!!!!!! I have never really been into seeing bands in bars etc but !daft! are so different. They have an energy that is second to none.
I for one will certainly be seeing them again and will recommend them to all I know. Really looking forward to seeing them perform again.
Thanks guys. xxx

Getting Better and Better!
Now I have seen Daft quite a few times now and every time they keep getting better and better!
Last night at Smokey Joes in Maidenhead was absolutely fantastic! The atmosphere was immense and they had the whole venue dancing and singing along together!
It is truly amazing to have so much talent in one band. From amazing vocals to epic guitar solo’s.. All of the songs were flawlessly performed with so much passion!
One thing I was disappointed with was there was no acoustic set in the VIP room after, which on NYE was absolutely brilliant! Other than that there is not one bad word to be said about this band!
This is one band that I would highly recommend you seeing and I can bet my bottom dollar you will not be disappointed!!
Keep up the good work guys.. You truly are amazing!!
P.S.. Be seeing you soon and can’t wait to get down and boogie!!
Laura Poole, Live Music Fan, Smokey Joes Roadhouse, Maidenhead, Feb 2010
Happy Christmas!
We booked !daft! for the Slough Christmas lights switch on. The band were friendly and accommodating throughout. They really rocked the crowd and gave the event a really great atmosphere. Their professionalism and friendly nature made them a pleasure to work with.

The most amazing rock cover band! EVER!
After having been to my 254th !daft! gig at the Rising Sun in Slough last night (which is also worth an honorable mention if you’re keeping count) I think it can officially be established, once and for all, that the lads really are the most entertaining, audacious and awesome covers band in the known universe.
I imagine only invasion by aliens from the planet ‘rock and f-ing roll’ – or *perhaps* the second coming of Elvis – could upstage them now.
!daft! are so far ahead of the pack they can now only compete with themselves. The perfectly formed fivesome compliment each other like turbo and shandy!!
Frontman Graeme is a great entertainer, he jumps around the stage (often literally) with electric energy, singing
away to anything you throw at him, being one of the few rock vocalists with the technical chops to brave a bit of a Metallica growl and tackle a bit of warbling too, Garys an absolute pedigree guitarist, who I’m sure is just longing to have a bit of a crowd surf after one of his blistering guitar solos (he’s from ooop norf too don’t you know) Phil I’m starting to think perhaps was born with his guitar rock seems to come that naturally to him, you’ll find Darran on his drum stool going absolutely mental, how he keeps it up for the whole gig is beyond me, I think he must save it all up and release the beast come pub o’clock at the weekends and Nick keeps the perfect bass going seemingly effortlessly, smooth as you like, bringing it all together.
I probably should mention that Phil is departing very soon though which is a big shame, so you’ll have to catch them this year to see him, but for the rest of the lads I can only hope the fun has only just begun again. With a new head to put into the mix, who knows what genius they’ll come up with and the ‘Raw finale’ I’m sure will be no less than grand.
As for material, the set list does traverse some familiar covers band territory, with good solid rock numbers – but the boys have also chosen to indulge their ability to make all types of music rock with all sorts of genres thrown in. Whether you’re a metal head, an Elvis groupie, an 80′s throwback or an indie type who has to get up 20 minutes early in the mornings to squeeze into your skinnys, there’s something for you. Which certainly beats citing Smoke on the Water as your most played song.
They play all the best venues in the area, from spangley nightclubs that charge you £45 for a beer with lights that make you go ‘ooooh’ (and smoke machines if your lucky) to superb little rock pubs where everybody knows your name (…and they’re always glad you cameeeee) and staff you want to lick because they’re just that brilliant.
!daft! really know how to make the atmosphere electric and get the whole crowd involved, even the truly miserable types are up having a bit of a boogie by the end of the night. I will personally challenge anyone to go home from a !daft! gig and claim you’ve not had a wicked time.
Kim Byne, Live music fan, Slough
Thank you!
Myself & Hannah, and all of our Wedding guests were blown away by your performance. Amazing band, and a great bunch of guys, too. You thoroughly entertained everyone & helped to make our Wedding Day extra special. Thank you so much!!!

!daft! – The Old Ticket Hall, Windsor
!daft! are a local professional bunch of masculine male musicians with a squeaky-clean lady friendly image and a clean-cut next-door-neighbour following of young good-looking entrepreneurs and their gorgeous girlfriends. If you like modern alt-rock music perfectly pitched for an affluent audience and sumptuously rehearsed and presented then !daft! is for you. Covers include work by Killers, Green Day, Queen, Guns N Roses, Manics, Fratellis, Michael Jackson, Oasis.
One of my favourites, when I saw the band LIVE at OLD TICKET HALL WINDSOR, was “Monster” by The Automatic. If you are thinking of modern, honey-sweet, anthemic alt-rock Indie sounds then you have got the right idea. But the boys can also belt out some whoppers and the soundcheck was Free’s “Wishing Well” with a really grinding and even menacing attitude…nice and sleazy.
The band also performs some Darkness and Queen tracks which go down a treat with the punters. The carefully groomed and manicured performance of the high-larking vocalist Graeme Nash (a smiling sunshine timeshare salesman-type yuppie boy of brylcream boyband and sqeaky clean credentials) helped to make these tracks a sing-song success. The support from Gary & Phil on guitars and Nick on bass is about as smooth as half a jar of peanut butter spread upon Kylie’s inner thigh and about as polished as a recently greased up snowboard.
The result from all this hard graft is a solid workaday performance as reliable as well-oiled machinery in a Swiss clock factory and as enjoyable as a bouncy castle party wearing nothing but clotted cream and your jim-jams. Lots of fun and plenty of keypoint moments to look back upon. An exciting and energetic vibe.
!daft! totally out-perform your expectations and are simply a class act.
I saw the band at the OLD TICKET HALL WINDSOR…this venue is now the only authentic and truly exclusive LIVE MUSIC venue in the Windsor area. The acoustics are a problem (the room is actually the old William Tite ticket office c 1849) but the space is truly historic and buzzes with a friendly energy and effervescent excitement. The public space is a high horseshoe shaped room with large rear doors leading out onto the station platform and a bar that is placed smack inside the ticket office. The stage is built up and sits in front of the huge windows overlooking the enormous bar area. Lots of terrific looking visitors and excellent drinks and service make this an ideal base for any music loving locals to come and spend some quality time with like-minded live music enthusiasts.
The best thing about The Old Ticket Hall is that it is just a few stops down the line from STAINES to Windsor & Eton Riverside station so will cost only about a fiver from Staines…a big savings on minicab fares…. so it makes your spendin money go a lot further.
Extreme!
Its very rare that i get a night off to go and see other bands, but Friday 8th May 2009 was one of those nights. So off we went to go and see Daft in action @ the Scotch Bar Windsor. On arrival i managed to say hi to Matt and Graeme before getting the drinks in and preparing myself to becoming !daft! experienced.
Well what can I say, from the first note to the last these guys know how to make a venue party and encourage audience participation to the max. Musically they handle a mix of tracks from as extreme as Elvis to Metalica and all stops in between the decades with a fanatic pace and musical prowess and i along with everyone else clapped whenever they gave us a chance to
We were treated to a straight through 1 hour 30 minute set of which went down a storm and its easy to see why !daft! are fast becoming one the most popular bands of the covers circuit.
Once my diary allows, i will be definitely making a dash to see !daft! again and i suggest that if you have not done so yet, then get yourself !daft! experienced @ a gig near you …….
Dave Carrera, drummer, Abakus
Outstanding cover band!
What can we say, absolutely outstanding, the best band we have seen in a very very long time. Can’t wait for you all to come back and visit us again soon.
It has been a long time since we have seen a band were the vocals are spot on, as well as the instruments, great stuff guys keep it up. Nicky, Andy and all who appreciated at the Fleur…
Nicola Nuthall, Manager/Owner of the Fleur de Lis, Stokenchurch
Energetic + Electric, absolutely AWESOME!!!
What an amazing night! Once again these guys rocked the crowd and had them begging for more! They just ooze energy and charisma!! The bar was heaving, so much so I ended up jumping around on your stage area at one point haha. But seriously, as far as cover bands go, these guys are the pinnacle of cool…
Look forward to the next gig!
Stephanie Dunleavy, Live music fan, singer/actress, Slough
!daft! are GODS..worship them!
!daft! really know how to give their audience that “feel good” factor…I was watching people leaving after the gig and without exception everyone had bloody big smiles on their faces.
So, “covers band” they may be…but they’re so much moretoo…
Louise P. (email address available on request)
Awesome!

ROCKIN’!!!
What can you say about !daft! other than QUALITY!!! They have an amazing stage presence, get the crowd fully involved and ROCK ON!!! They have a great mix of covers that guarantee you will have no voice left by the end of the night!! Particular favorites include their Guns n Roses covers and ‘All these things I’ve done’ by the Killers!!
If you want a wicked night, go see this lot!!! Amazing, keep it up Guys!!!
Steven Edge, The Riots, Signed to Ear Candy Music
I’m sixty, and don’t know many of the songs they perform, but…
this band is something else!
I played a bit in the 60′s and 70′s, fancied myself and the bands I played in then…still do, I ‘spose, but !daft! are an outstanding covers band. I’ve booked them twice and both times now they have simply ‘blown the audience away“!Believe their “biography” above because every word is true, but don’t just read these reviews, go to a gig, and if you can’t get to one, be selfish and book them to play for you, as I have done. You’ll not be disappointed.
John C. (email address availale on request)
Bl*ody Fantastic!!
I went to see them for the first time recently and had one of the BEST nights out! Fantastic band, picked all the right songs, I would pay money to see these dudes and it was like watching the real GNR or Greenday exept you were closer to the stage!! Bonus!! Only problem I will say is that they weren’t on long enough! I wanted more !!!!!
Laura M.
It’s like going to see all your favourite rock bands in one night!!
I have been going to !daft! gigs for years, not only are they awesome musicians but great entertainers. They always put in 100% to ensure you have a wicked night and the music is always brilliant. At every gig the crowd are always involved and everyone is singing and dancing. I will always put in the effort to go to see !daft!.. as its always a fab night. Awesome band .. Awesome guys.. Awesome live music..Thanks for all the great night’s and I look forward to seeing you again soon!!!

A pleasure to deal with…
!daft! played in the Camphill Club in West Byfleet on Saturday the 12th of May. The lads were an absolute pleasure to deal with and put on one of the best shows we have seen, where Graeme gets his energy from is beyond me!! We have already booked them to play our Club later this year, and I will be booking them for some gigs next year as well!
Graham Loughrey, Entertainment Secretary Camphill Social Club
Energetic ain’t the word…
If not performing, there is nothing I like better than going to see a live band and !daft! give everything I want to see. Graeme is a top notch frontman, with a good vocal range to boot. He excels in ensuring the crowd are involved and are smiling. The choice of material is pleasantly varied – the band’s strength lies in the big rock anthems such as Guns n Roses’ ‘Welcome to the jungle’ and an incredibly tight Queen medley. The band steer clear of ballads and rightly so; !daft! are all about the energy and sharpness of sound. Phil and Gary on guitars are tight as you like together and share solos – the guitars compliment each other perfectly. Nick is a solid bass player and his timing with Darren on drums is spot on. All in all, if you want to go see a band and want to feel part of it, even if just for a couple of hours, go see them. Brilliant.
Matt, musician and audience member
Tight band…
We have seen a lot of bands in our native Los Angeles area but I gotta say you guys were one of the tightest and best sounding bands we’ve seen.
Norm, Hermosa Beach, California
Sheer talent…
I would just like to say once again how fantastic you and your band were on Daisy Day. I can honestly say that your the best band I’ve seen for a long, long time. Will contact you again soon to make a date for the summer so that all the unfortunate ones that missed out from seeing you that day will be able to catch up and witness the expertise and sheer talentof what I saw.
Sharon, event assistant and audience member
