!daft! Newsletter – August 2012

Welcome to the !daft! Newsletter for August 2012

!daft! Party Cover Band NewsI write this today in sticky, energy sapping 30 degree heat, Summer has definitely arrived in the UK after months of cold, dank, dreary weather and frankly, I’m about to keel over!! So as Summer scorches over England’s green and pleasant land it gives me the chance to sit down in the sweat and tell you what’s been happening lately in the !daft! camp. Firstly, it’s been a really great year so far and I am struggling to work out where 8 months of 2012 has already gone. Our “new” drummer Phil has now been with us for over 6 months and is very much part of the team now, in fact he’s everyone’s favourite little munchkin really, always keeping us oldies amused with his crazy 20-something antics. Not only that but as I said at the start of the year he has really done us and himself proud by taking up the drumming role as quickly and competently as he has, I’m sure if you’ve seen him in action you’ll agree.

Thank you also for your continued support of the band, for coming to our gigs and for keeping us busy! We love what we do and it’s always great when you’re there to enjoy it with us! Keep it up and always feel welcome to get in touch if we can help you or if you would like us to do anything for you.

So without further ado let’s fill you in with a few updates!

News

2013 Diary Almost Full!

!daft! gig diaryWe are once again stunned at the rate at which pubs, clubs and private individuals are booking the band, and obviously very grateful too! As of this moment (19th Aug) our 2013 is 85% booked, all our regular venues are in and there are already a handful of weddings and parties in the diary as well – there’s even a double wedding weekend happening as early as March! This is great news but of course it means that if you were interested in booking us for anything next year I would urge to you think about this sooner rather than later. A wedding, a birthday, a festival… anything you think you might want us for get in touch and we’ll pencil it in for you at no cost or inconvenience. We currently have a couple of bookings in for 2014 as well, people are planning far in advance so you may wish to as well!

We will pop our 2013 diary online in the coming weeks as we move towards the end of the year.
