FAQ’s

How much do you charge?

Our rates are very competitive and vary according to distance, playing time and overall time on-site. Please request a bespoke quote.

Can I come and see you play live?

We play a variety of public venues in East Berkshire, West London and surrounding areas. Our gig diary gives you an up to date list of both previous and future bookings.

Do you have a free Demo CD?

Actually, no, not anymore. All our demos are available on our website and are free to download or stream. You can download audio clips from any of our pages via our SoundCloud app and burn them to a CD at your leisure if you wish.

How can I check if you're available?

Dates already booked are shown on our website. Please visit our gig diary for details. However, if your event clashes we may still be able to re-arrange the booking. Do contact us for details.

How long does it take you to set up your equipment?

Between 45 minutes and an hour and a half, depending on ease of access and the amount of equipment and lighting required. The average is around 60 minutes, and this includes soundchecks.

How far do you travel?

We are based in and around East Berkshire. We normally travel within 50 mile radius of this area but will travel further. Contact us for details.

How far in advance should I book you?

As early as possible! Popular dates are often booked 6 - 12 months in advance, but please check our gig diary as we can be available at very short notice if the date is free.

Can I choose music from your playlist?

Yes, you can choose your favourites, we do update our set list regularly so it's better to do this a few weeks prior to your event.

Can you play our 'first dance'?

Yes, you can choose a song from our current set list or many couples have a specific song which most prefer in its original format which we will play for you on CD or MP3 player prior to our first live set. Alterntively if you prefer to have it played live we are happy to learn it for you. This would be subject to suitablility and a minimum of 6 weeks notice to learn and rehearse it.

How much space do you require?

Typically the performance area (or stage) should be 4 metres wide x 3 metres deep (minimum). We can set up in smaller spaces if required, but please let us know in advance or contact us for advice.

What happens if one of the band members is ill?

Being a professional band, we try to ensure that we always have access to other professional musicians who can act as deputies should any one of our members fall ill at late notice. Each 'dep' has worked with !daft! before and are highly experienced professional musicians and performers in their own right. Although it is incredibly rare that any of our members would be unable to perform.
