Hi! We’re !daft! We’re a professional, full-time wedding, corporate function & party band and we’re passionate about live music, performance & service.
!daft! was established in 1998, in Berkshire, UK, and plays rock, pop, indie & party hits from across the decades. We’re a 5-piece band with a 2-person sound & light production team and we’re available to hire for weddings, parties and functions across the whole of the UK.
Our Name
Our name was defined at the time as a way to indicate the sense of fun and enjoyment people were having at our gigs, and it stuck. 20 years later we’re still bringing that same sense of energy and good-times to people’s weddings, functions and parties.
Completely Independent Band
!daft! is a completely independent, non-agency-tied wedding, function & party band. This means we have full and complete control of our bookings, can mange our lineup personally, offer the very best and lowest possible costs and provide a personal, 1 to 1 service.

Our belief is that our songs should be accurate and true to the original version, but also that we should never just “play” a song, but that we should “perform it” and make it our own.
A song is an incredible thing, it can inspire all manner of emotions and behaviours and it is our passion to draw these happy emotions out of our audiences. Furthermore, we deliver each song in the appropriate way for the event we are at, the style in which the track was intended and its position in the set.
